Trucker Spice

And I thought I used to swear a lot...the potty mouths in the ELC have been tossing in their coins in exchange for foul utterances. Things get hectic in there and sometimes some people get a bit verbal.

The dirty money was just handed over and it totaled just above $60.

We'll just let August pass...

Saturday, June 2, 2007

...as things turn out, all the anticipated funds for the entire project have not been raised yet. Everybody has been raking in money from their various projects, races, games and whatnot to go into the virtual collective pool; however, we have to try harder so we can go by the end of the year.

We're still going though!!

Hopefully, it will be around xmas time...BUT that will increase plane ticket costs, so we'll need even more ideas and help to raise funds.
And the friends haven't even been tackled yet...ahem!

It's been awhile since the last update...

- Jo's dad selflessly requested any gifts for his latest benchmark birthday be converted to donations for the PPP. A most tremendous and heartfelt THANK YOU, Mr M!

- yesterday I met with a reporter from a local Filipino newspaper here in Calgary, Mabuhay Calgary for a local angle on an international humanitarian response. Will post the article when it comes out. Many thanks Kathy, for your time and for your fantastic ideas!!

- PPP will be arriving in Guinsaugon in the the beginning August
